LAPD Officer Z.M. Katz – at the cheek-pinching age of 25 – has already suffered his share of near-death experiences. But when his patrol partner is murdered, Katz embarks on a mission even riskier than his BASE-jumping hobby.

While sneaking around the official homicide investigation, Katz must dodge mounting pressure to stay off the case, as well as an assassin who appears to be turning into a space werewolf.

Throw in a Sioux shaman and an ex-Marine gay rights activist who’s bent on outing Hollywood’s next action star, and Katz is about to learn that when it comes to Tinsel Town, nothing is as it seems.
